Common Threads: A Celebration of Quilts & Community

Posted on

A fun-filled weekend celebration of quilts. Common Threads will feature quilts from the Peabody Historical Society’s collection; quilts by local guilds; and a selection of award-winning miniature quilts from challenges sponsored by Keepsake Quilting of NH. This special event will also feature vendors from quilting and sewing shops, quilt appraisals, scissor sharpening, demonstrations, children’s activities & more.

Carol Sullivan entered our raffle quilt into this exhibit.  The following is an excerpt from an E-mail sent to Carol.

We are excited that the Merrimack Valley Quilter’s Guild will be participating in Common Threads. Can’t wait to see Asian Spring in person! I would be grateful if you would forward this information about the event to your group’s membership. All guild members will receive half off admission! I sent this to the general info email address too. Thank you!

The exhibit is April 2 & 3, 2011.  For more information visit their website by clicking here.

    Hi,

I was at the Common Threads show over the weekend and was admiring the raffle quilt. What a beautiful work of art! I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the pattern – I couldn’t find it anywhere on your site.

    Thanks in advance!

The pattern was designed my one of our member and will be on sale at our annual quilt show.
