The Tewksbury Public Library invites your organization to participate in our annual “New Year, New Hobby” program series.
Every Tuesday night, from 7pm to 8:30pm, in January and February, the library is asking hobby clubs in the area (Tewksbury, Merrimack Valley & North Shore) to give a 15-20 minute presentation on their hobby and their organization.
Each Tuesday night will feature a brief presentation from three different hobby clubs, then audience Q&A, then an opportunity to speak with audience members on-on-one. EXAMPLE: Ghost hunting group speaks from 7pm to 7:20pm. UFO research group speaks from 7:20pm to 7:40pm. Astronomy group speaks from 7:40pm to 8pm. Q&A from 8pm to 8:15pm. Meet & greet from 8:15pm to 8:30pm.
To make it easier to check your schedules, the dates are below:
- Tuesday, January 14
- Tuesday, January 21
- Tuesday, January 28
- Tuesday, February 4
- Tuesday, February 11
- Tuesday, February 18
- Tuesday, February 25
Due to our limited programming budget, the library cannot provide your group’s speaker with an honorarium, but we will do all we can to get the word out to Tewksbury residents about your organization and your participation in our series. We will help you raise awareness of your cause and – hopefully – even get you a few new members!
We’re going to book on a first-come, first-serve basis and we’ve invited way more groups than we have spots for. We are going to try to pair groups together that are similar, but not with identical hobbies. I can be contacted at this email address or at 978-640-4490 x 205. I look forward to hearing from you!
