Linda Pearl of The Patchwork Pearl has arranged a one day bus trip to New York City to view “Infinite Variety; Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts” sponsored by the American Folk Art Museum. This is an exhibit of more than 650 red and white American textiles, the largest quilt exhibit ever presented in New York City. The bus will leave from Nashua NH at 6 am and the cost is $75. Contact Linda@thepatchworkpearl.com or call 603-233-0320 for more information.
For the third year, MVQ members will be donating small quilts to be sold at the Silent Auction booth at the Quilt Show. Fifty percent of the selling price will go to Women In Transition- our charity of the year. The maker gets the other 50%.
This year the thought was that we might include other creative items along with the quilts.
More to come on this topic as we get closer to the show!
Our March Madness meeting will be on March 17th [you can wear green, if you want!]. Nine talented members will be demonstrating their talents at nine different tables. You can browse all nine or stay at one- it is up to you. Handouts will be available for you to take home to practice the skill.

Any other flowers are yours- we will provide fabric for the award flowers- bring your own for yours.
A sign-up sheet will be at the meeting so we will have an idea of how many.
Thanks to Ildi Tary and her helpers, over $2000 was netted at the UFO auction this year. It appears to be a record for the books!
Ildi will pass the excess “treasures” along to Angie Cyr for the White Elephant Table at the Quilt Show- so watch for the bargains.
What a great January meeting! We heard and saw the journey’s of three great members. Mary Ginn, Helen Gosselin and Carol Robinson. So very different in the journey’s they have had but yet all with the love of quilting and some great samples for us to see and enjoy. Many members comment that journey’s is one of their favorite meetings when we have it. Thanks again ladies for taking the time to lug all your samples for us to see and enjoy.
