Condolences to Jame Hamel. Her mom, Monica Pitman, has passed away. Monica a was a former member of MVQ. She was also the sister of Connie Grew. Monica and Connie were MVQ members for many years. Services for Monica will be Tues 4-8 at Pollards. Funeral is at St Monica’s on Wed. Monica was just 90 on Dec 13th. Our sympathies go out to Jane and family.
Terry Palardy’s Husband
Rick Palardy,husband of a member, Terry Palardy, passed away suddenly early on Christmas morning.
The wake will be Friday (Dec 30) at the Conte Funeral home in Georgetown from 3-7 pm.
Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church (top of the hill on Andover Street in town) Saturday December 31st at 10 am.
Fire department will provide honor guard and pall bearers.
In Sympathy
Long time former member Ruby Smith, 89, passed away this week. Ruby was an active member of our guild for many years with her sidekick Grace McKay.
Sincerest Sympathy
In the past couple of weeks, members and former members have lost loved ones.
Our sympathies go out to Janice Jones, on the loss of her mother. And former member Linda Simmons, on the loss of her father.
It is always difficult to lose a loved one, but this time of year makes it doubly hard. Our hearts and prayers go out for our friends and their families.
In Memory of Michael Beresford
One of our members, Michael Beresford, passed away this week. Here is the email received from his wife, Judy, who is also a member:
“Our wonderful Michael went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 21. He died of viral encephalitis, in a period of 2 weeks that began with tiredness and loss of appetite. He went to the hospital and had many tests and doctors consulting to help him recover, but the virus was unstoppable. He was peaceful, gentle, humorous, and faithful to the end. We will miss him so much.”
