Comfort Quilts
Thank you to everyone who donated a comfort quilt to support High Pointe House in Haverhill and Believe Anything and Everything is Possible – an organization to support patients undergoing chemotherapy. We presented 68 beautiful quilts to two very grateful organizations. You are ALL amazing and all the ladies accepting the quilts were overwhelmed by your generosity!!!!!
A special thank you is just not enough for Bev Valle who made the Dragonfly Quilt for High Pointe House and Cathy Harnisch who quilted it – it was exquisite! And it won Viewer’s Choice at our Show!!! You 2 ladies have created more than a quilt, but memories for so many families for years to come. Here is a photo of that quilt being presented at the meeting and we’ll have more photos from our photographers soon.

Our next organization will Foster Kids of the Merrimack Valley. Larry Giordano, President of this organization, will be talking with us at the January meeting. They are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of foster children in the Merrimack Valley including all of Greater Haverhill, Lawrence, Methuen, Andover, and North Andover. They serve children from newborn to age 17 and tell me the greatest needs are with teenage boys so we will keep that in mind. Watch the newsletter for more info as I have asked Larry’s wife Eileen for more specifics on quilt sizes, etc. prior to his visit in January.
Thank you all again for your kindness and generosity. Quilters are just amazing people and we are an amazing Guild filled with so much talent and spirt it is mind boggling!
