It’s true: one will make terrific, long-lasting friends through quilting. Some of you met my daughter Laura when she was a young girl; when I brought her with me to a show or maybe to your home. She was very sick this past year and I’m glad I spent all my time with her, not quilting. I appreciate your thoughtfulness, kind words, and condolences at this difficult time. Thank you for your cards and gifts, they mean a lot to me.

Sad News

Early this morning, I was informed that Marianne Nowacki’s daughter passed away.  As many of you know, Laura had Batten Disease.  She will be missed.  Our hearts and prayers go out to Marianne.

I will post more information regarding any arrangements as I receive them.

MVQ well represented at The Gathering

The Quilters Gathering is over for another year. The quilts are down and gone home.

The Raffle Quilt brought in almost $300 for the 4 days.

Three  members were awarded ribbons: Founders Ribbon to Lisa McCarthy for “Circle of Life.
