Sunflower Collage
Get started creating a fabric collage while learning and practicing basic techniques following a design from one of my patterns, or another of your choice. Techniques taught include transferring a design onto foundation fabric, using Steam-a-Seam 2, fussy-cutting motifs, and more, to create a colorful design from a simple black line drawing. Explore design elements, including color, value, and print size, to create your own design for a wall hanging or pillow that you can finish at home.

• Fabric selection- focusing on color and value to create dimension and movement
• Cutting techniques and use of fussy cutting to create dynamic and cohesive collage areas
• Using the parchment paper method for creating smaller collage areas
• Steps to assemble your collage into a finished design
• Design tips, instructions on finishing techniques, and guidance for choosing a background fabric and sewing will be discussed for finishing at home
